Sunset Sanctuary

Sunset Sanctuary sits on a Gulf Coast bay, in a community where hosting is a point of pride and life spills outdoors. The brief called for a home built around gathering, from the first coffee to the last nightcap: long dinners, generous pours, and guest rooms that rarely sit empty.

Haus of Blaylock selected every detail of this new build, letting the bay, the lush yard, and the evening sky set the palette. Taupe grounds each room, layered with blues and greens drawn straight from the water outside. In the great room, layered linens and mixed metals stay quiet on purpose, ceding center stage to the wide windows and the view beyond them.

Custom fabric covers every upholstered piece. All drapery and bedding came from the in-house workroom: flowing sheers where dappled light suits the room, embroidered panels where sleep calls for darkness. Hand-crafted art by Chad Kilgore greets guests in the entry and dining room.

Three guest suites travel the state in mood: tropical Miami drama, white-sand Gulf simplicity, sweet Southern charm. Mornings begin with the coffee bar doors opening. Evenings end outside, as the sunset colors the bay.
